I love my little Cookie Monster. He is the light of my life and seeing him run towards me when I get home from work definitely makes my day. But there are a few things I do wish I would have known before getting a Frenchie to help me be more prepared. So for all of you out there thinking about getting a French Bulldog, here’s a list of things you should know to help you be more prepared.
They fart….a lot… like all the time…
They snore… loud…. it’s like a competition between my husband and Cookie on who can snore louder.
They can’t stand the heat. Walking with Cookie during the summer, he often gets tired from the heat and just stops walking. I basically have to drag him back home.
They have a sensitive stomach. I strongly suggest avoid changing their food as much as possible.
- They have an attitude. When Cookie gets mad, he makes sure we know it. He will turn his back and ignore us until HE decides we are forgiven.
- They love to play and have a lot of energy.
- They are very affectionate.
- They’re not barkers. A lot of people will think that because they’re small dogs they tend to bark a lot. But not Frenchies. Don’t get me wrong, they do bark, just not often.
