Best Homemade Pizza Recipes

I recently decided to make homemade pizza. I thought, how hard can it be? Not hard at all! It’s super simple and surprisingly not long at all! And what’s great is that you can have so much fun with the ingredients! I do have on suggestion however, if you want to put tomatoes on them, don’t use the canned tomatoes. They have that weird taste to it that just ruins the whole pizza in my opinion. Use fresh tomatoes instead or my personal favorite, sun-dried tomatoes. It will taste ten times better! I guarantee it.
Here are a few of my favorite recipes to help you get started:

Spinach and Artichoke Pizza

Ingredients
  1. 4 Pita Breads
  2. 1/2 Cup Cream Cheese, room temperature
  3. 1/4 Cup Greek Yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  4. 2 Cups Spinach
  5. 2/3 Cup Artichokes (I strongly suggest using those in a jar as opposed to those in a can. They taste better)
  6. 3/4 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, grated
  7. 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder
  8. 1/4 Tsp Salt
  9. Dash of Red Pepper Flakes and Black Pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, Greek yogurt, garlic powder, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the spinach, artichokes and 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  4. Put pita breads on baking sheet.
  5. Spread mixture on pita breads.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheese evenly on pizza.
  7. Bake for about 8-10 minutes until cheese melts.
  8. Enjoy!

Spinach Mushroom Pizza

Ingredients
  1. 4 Pita Breads
  2. 1 1/2 Tsp Olive Oil
  3. 1/4 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  4. 8 oz Mushrooms, diced
  5. 2 Cups Fresh Spinach
  6. 1 Cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes (or fresh)
  7. 1 oz Goat Cheese
  8. 2-3 Tsp Olive Oil
  9. 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese
  10. Salt and Pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Heat 1 1/2 tsp olive oil in skillet on medium heat.
  3. Add mushrooms, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper until mushrooms cook.
  4. Put pita breads on baking sheet.
  5. Top with spinach, cooked mushrooms and tomatoes.
  6. Crumble goat cheese on top of pizza.
  7. Drizzle olive oil on top and top with shredded mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until cheese melts.
  9. Enjoy!
Note: Original recipe includes chicken. My husband and I have cut down on meat so I don’t add chicken, but you can easily add it in the recipe.
