My husband uses Ebates and about a year ago he had a promo where he could get one box of Hello Fresh for half the price. We decided to try it out and see what we thought. We had previously tried Goodfood and we weren’t a fan. The prices were too high, the ingredients and food options not that great and the website complicated to use. So to say that I was skeptical about Hello Fresh is an understatement. But boy was I happy to be wrong!
The ingredients were great and fresh! The food options were really interesting (some weeks I wanted to try everything!) and the price was surprisingly really affordable! The website is extremely easy to use! If there’s a week you want to skip, no worries, you just skip it! And you have the option to choose different plans such as vegetarian, family or the pronto. I personally use the pronto plan because we are only two (although with my husband sometimes it feels like we’re four!). You can even mention if there are certain things you don’t eat or are allergic too so that they can adjust the recipes for you. For example, I’m not a huge fan of seafood so when I choose my recipes, I have more options that don’t include seafood.
If you’re like me and work full time from Monday to Friday and are often tired by the time you get home, then Hello Fresh is definitely for you. By the time I get home, it’s already past 6:00 pm so I don’t have time to rack my brain and figure out what I will be cooking. I’m a person who like to make everything from scratch so I don’t eat any of those prepaid meals and try to avoid canned ingredients as much as possible. That’s why I love Hello Fresh. All of their ingredients are fresh and already ready for me to use. The only thing I have to do is wash, cut and cook. And all their recipes are ready in under 30 minutes. So I have supper ready by 7:00 at the latest which is fantastic in my books.
Often the recipes are really easy to do so there have been times when I’ve come home and my husband has had supper ready on the table for me! I’ve been using Hello Fresh on a regular basis for almost a year now, and I have to say that I’m totally in love with them! Honestly, if you’re looking for something to cook during weeknights that doesn’t require a lot of time and is fresh, I strongly recommend Hello Fresh!
All their recipes come in refrigerated boxes and each meal is separated by paper bags with tags so it’s easy for you to identify them! Don’t forget that the meat is usually at the bottom of the boxes covered by ice packs to be kept fresh! If you want to try it out, give me a shout out and I will be able to send you a discount of 40$ off your first box (which is approx. a 50% discount). Let me know if you’re interested in the comments and I’ll e-mail you a discount.
