Food Something Sweet

In Love with Banana Bread

Who doesn’t love Bananas? You know what I love about them? You can do pretty much anything with Bananas! Put them in smoothies, cookies, cake, bread, muffins, pancakes, overnight oats and I can go on forever!
The recipe I’m going to share with you was given to me by a colleague and it’s become one of my regular recipes. I always have bananas at home for my smoothies and occasionally they start going bad before I have a chance to use them. I hate wasting things, especially food so instead of throwing them out, I just whip up a batch of banana bread.
What I love about this recipe is that there are so many different ways of doing it. You can turn it into a cake, bread or even muffins (I usually make it into muffins for Bake Sales at work). You can even add walnuts and / or chocolate chips. So you can really have a lot of fun with it, which is really great.

  1. 1/2 Cup of Butter
  2. 1 Cup Sugar
  3. 2 Eggs
  4. 3 Bananas
  5. 1 1/2 Cup of Flour
  6. 1 tsp Baking Soda
  7. 1/2 tsp Salt
  8. 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  9. Chocolate Chips (Optional)
  10. Walnuts (Optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Mix all ingredients together
  3. Add Chocolate Chips and / or Walnuts if you want
  4. Pour mixture into greased and floured loaf pan (or cake pan / muffin tins depending on what you’re making)
  5. Bake for 55 minutes
