Do you follow Reese’s Bookclub on Instagram? If not, you totally should. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of all the books that she picks. There’s even a few that I’m not sure why she included in her list. However, as much as there’s some that I don’t understand how they made the list, there’s also a lot that I absolutely loved. Some that I would even say have become a strong favorite of mine.
THE LIGHT WE LOST, BY JILL SANTOPOLO
This has got to be one of my favorite love stories. Everything about this book was perfect. From the way it’s written, to the characters, to the love story itself. I just absolutely loved everything about this book. And you definitely want to bring out the tissue box because the second half of the book will have you going on an emotional roller coaster!
THE SCENT KEEPER, BY ERICA BAUERMEISTER
This book surprised me in the best possible way. I was not expecting to love this book so much. I have to hand it to the author because she definitely knows how to make her readers completely captivated by the story. This book will have you escaping into a world of exotic scents, beautiful scenery and a father / daughter relationship like no other. If there is one book from Reese’s list you want to read, this is definitely it.
THE HENNA ARTIST, BY ALKA JOSHI
This book… where to begin? If you love a book that has a strong female protagonist, then this book is for you. Not only the characters in this book are strong powerful women, but the story and the attention to detail is very impressive. Especially for a debut novel. I also love that this book is about India which is one of the countries I’m dying to visit. This is not only my favorite book from Reese’s Book Club pick, but it’s also my favorite from the books I’ve read this year. Definitely recommend it.
THE OTHER WOMEN, BY SANDIE JONES
Loved loved loved this book. I think this was one of the first books from Reese’s list that I read and I’m so glad I picked it up. In fact, I loved it so much that I became a loyal fan of the author and have been getting her books ever since. If you’re a fan of a good of suspense book that will have you guessing until the very last page, then this book is for you. Twisted doesn’t even begin to describe how this book is. And don’t blame me if you have an all-nighter finishing this book.
THE LAST MRS. PARRISH, BY LIV CONSTATINE
This is definitely a Reese’s Book Club pick. If you ask anyone what book from Reese’s list is their favorite, the Last Mrs. Parrish will definitely be in the top three. It has everything from relatable characters to intriguing story line to twisted family secrets. I have to say I had high hopes for this book from everything I had heard and it definitely did not disappoint. Make sure to add this to your thriller TBR pile. You won’t regret it.
NEXT YEAR IN HAVANA, BY CHANEL CLEETON
Get ready to fall in love. Told in two different timelines, this book has you falling in love not once, but twice. Family, culture, a love story built to last, this book has it all. I loved this book so much that I didn’t want it to end. Which is great because it’s actually part one of a trilogy. If you’re looking for a great love story filled with culture and family secrets, this is definitely the book for you.
THE WHISPER NETWORK, BY CHANDLER BAKER
Told in the era of the #METOO movement, The Whisper Network is about the different challenges that women face in a workforce majorly dominated by men. This book got a lot of mixed reviews, but I personally really enjoyed it. I thought the storyline was solid, the characters were well developed and relatable, and the topic at hand was interesting. I strongly suggest this book for every women and men to read.
